I went with an old friend on a Sunday evening, he and I always enjoy the food as everything is always hot and fresh. I always go for a 2 piece dark with the Tandoori fries and garlic sauce. Both of our meals were hot, juicy, fresh and absolutely delicious. After receiving our food however the staff gave us a free order of Tandoori chicken bites, just like everything else, they were absolutely delicious. It's become my go to fried chicken spot and I cannot recommend it enough. Better than any fried chicken spot nearby and better than any Al-Baik.
I've ordered here for more than 1/2 dozen times and always liked their consistency and friendly greetings. Yes you can get chicken cheaper elsewhere but I like it here because it's not too salty and not greasy. I've added current menu pricing as of 2-18-2025
The best place in Frederick for chicken the Owner is so nice and everyone is so friendly
This is a first-visit review, subject to change as I return many, many times in the future... Chicking is an international franchise, with Frederick its first US location. It's in a storefront behind Boscovs, in a sketchy area with little traffic after dark. It features incredible halal chicken that it cooked (fried or grilled) to order, meaning it takes a few minutes to receive your food. The chicken is well worth the wait; crispy, juicy, flavorful, hot, and delicious. It wasn't as spicy as they told me to expect, but hopefully I can adjust them up on next purchase. You can specify your chicken parts (I got three thighs, planning on taking on home for lunch. It did not happen. Did I say delicious?) My order came with tandoori fries (?), coleslaw, and a biscuit. I substituted rice because it looked good on the menu, and it tasted as good as it looked. Coleslaw appeared to be homemade, and really, really, really sweet, so maybe not to everyone's taste. The biscuit was OK (Popeye's has a better one), but I was full by the time I got to it. Overall impression: very, very good. I will definitely come back for more!
New place behind boscovs..quite varied menu. Everything cooked fresh so takes a little longer but worth it. Had the grilled chicken rice bowl. I was warned it was spicy and it sure was. Yummy! If you want something slightly different give it a try.
The chicken has a unique flavor that's not found in every other chicken place. The staff is friendly and their service is great. The food came out so hot and fresh that we couldn't believe it. We ordered the Crunchy Box and everything was delicious. I would definitely come here again.
Very friendly family owned franchise that is wildly popular in the Middle East and around the world. This is the very first location in American. Great food. Check it out.
